Read what our patients have to say about
their EyeHealth Northwest Laser Vision Correction surgery experience...
"It's
miraculous! I'm seeing things I haven't seen since I was ten
years old! I tell my friends about it repeatedly. I can't help
it, it's so amazing! Dr. Hagen is terrific. His confidence is
infectious and his step by step explanation during surgery is
very reassuring."
-- Lori Snyder |
"This
surgery exceeded my expectations. I was amazed that it was so
fast and painless. It would have seemed like a miracle
just decades ago."
-- Rosanne Sizer |
"I
have to admit that when I found out I was a candidate for the
LASIK procedure, I was extremely excited and nervous all at
the same time. Having worn glasses and contacts since the age
of 12, I was more than anxious to be able to wake up in the
morning and not have to fumble for my glasses, however, the
actual procedure sounded a little bit scary. After my consultation
with Dr. Chalmers, much of my apprehension was gone. His step-by-step
explanation of the procedure, coupled with the 14 years he has
been in practice, I knew that I was in good hands.
The morning of the procedure, I put my glasses on for the last
time and headed to the LASIK clinic. As the LASIK team began
the preparations for the procedure, Dr. Chalmers once again
went through the procedure with me step-by-step. As the procedure
began, I was told exactly what to expect next. There was absolutely
no pain whatsoever and the procedure lasted only about 5 minutes!
While my vision was a little blurry immediately after the procedure,
I could still tell that my vision was more acute. In a days
time, I had 20/20 vision!!!
Today, two years after my procedure, I still have 20/20 vision
and can't imagine life with contacts or glasses again! I enthusiastically
endorse Dr. Chalmers and his LASIK team for the exceptional
work they do in permanent vision correction."
-- Kristin Brown |
"I
was probably one of the toughest patients with regard to my
vision correction problems. I really admire the fact that Doctor
Kemp did not give up on helping me see."
--Trish Fellows
|
"I
was one of the first LASIK patients for Dr. Holland, but I felt
completely confident and comfortable with him! I have already
recommended this procedure to many people and encouraged them
to do it! Dr. Holland and his staff are excellent!"
-- Kellee Lacy |
"I'm
in awe of my 'new eyes'! Doctor Plumb and the technicians were
great! I still panic sometimes when I 'think' I've fallen asleep
with my contacts on. No more solutions or bloodshot eyes. It's
unbelievable!"
-- Karen Curtis |
"I
couldn't figure out why it took me so long to decide to have
the surgery because it was so quick and easy. My friends are
sick of hearing about it. The freedom it gives you, can't be
understood by people who haven't been dependent on glasses or
contacts most of their life."
-- Toni Zaback |
"It
took 20 minutes to do both eyes, the majority of which was preparation
and explanation. The surgery itself seemed to last mere seconds.
I was and continue to be totally impressed with my team's professionalism
and level of competence. When I use the term "team",
I really mean it. I have never observed any one group of people
operate so completely as one unit. Each word and action appeared
to be perfectly orchestrated and choreographed. Dr. Saulson
and crew were in control every step of the way.
I will tell you right now, there was no pain whatsoever.
None."
-- Lonnie Okrasinski, |
"I've
been a patient of EyeHealth Northwest for over twenty years.
I had no reason to think the level of service for laser vision
correction would be any different than the general ophthalmology
services I'd received previously."
-- Kristi Kuchs |
"PRK
is the best and simplest surgery with the most incredible results.
Doctor Waldman is a miracle doctor. He explained the procedure
in detail and the whole process was superb. If anyone is considering
this surgery, don't hesitate. Do it immediately!"
-- Jennifer Stoloff |
"I
am so happy to be able to see without contacts or glasses! Life
is easier without the hassle of contacts and no more discomfort
of wearing glasses - behind the ears or on the bridge of my
nose. I no longer have to worry about being out in the wind
so it's much more pleasant to walk jog, hike and swim. Just
makes me feel great! Best money I have ever spent!"
-- Suzanne Hirai |
"I
work in the medical field and have been around many physicians.
I was very impressed with Dr. Saulson and his bedside manner.
I can't begin to express how wonderful this has been. No one
can possibly understand until they have had it done. It was
the best birthday present ever!"
-- Carla Ferland |
"I
wouldn't have trusted anyone but my own ophthalmologist. Eye
surgery is not the place to hunt for a bargain! I have told
everyone who will listen what a wonderful experience I have
had. I especially valued knowing how careful the screening process
was and that the procedure would not be recommended to me if
the doctors didn't feel I would have a good chance of visual
success."

"With
better than 20/20 vision, this procedure has exceeded my expectations!
Snow skiing has been great."
-- Brian Wilcox |
"This
is the greatest thing I have done for myself. The freedom is
great and I can see much better that I did with my glasses or
contacts. It is awesome! I can actually see the Blazers win
now!"
-- Frank Jones |

"As
an ophthalmologist, I had much at stake in having LASIK done
and took two years to research the current state of the procedure.
Having decided that the risk-benefit ratio was good for my
visual needs and desires, I chose Scott Grealish as the surgeon
who I felt could give me the best possible chance for an excellent
outcome. I had observed many of his post-operative patients
and reviewed his outcomes - clearly he was the detail-oriented,
technically-excellent kind of surgeon I was after.
It has
been over a year since my surgery. I had both eyes done the
same day and by the next day could read 20/20 without glasses.
After a week I was reading letters on the 20/10 line in one
eye (better than I could see with glasses before) and a slightly
blurry 20/20 in the other eye.
Having
worn glasses for 29 years, I love being able to read, drive,
ski and swim without them. I'll be wearing reading glasses
in another 5 or so years, but that is a small price to pay
for the joy of my distance vision without glasses for all
the activities I enjoy."
