Dr. Aaby graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio State University with a B.S. degree. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio, and serving his Internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Aaby completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Aaby joined EyeHealth Northwest in 1985. He is board certified and practices Comprehensive Ophthalmology with a subspecialty in Pediatric Ophthalmology.

Dr. Aaby serves on several national committees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He has gone to Romania several times with Northwest Medical Teams to provide surgery for the children in the orphanages.
