Dr. Bentley is the President of EyeHealth Northwest and joined the staff in 1987. He is a native Oregonian and earned a BS in Microbiology from Oregon State University. Dr. Bentley went on to graduate cum laude from Oregon Health Sciences University where he became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Bentley served his Internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR and completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Bentley has a special interest in the advancement of quality in health care and and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for Legacy Health System in 2004. Dr. Bentley has also served as the Chair of the Legacy Portland Hospitals Quality Council. He has been appointed Clinical Instructor at Casey Eye Institute, and is a consulting and attending physician at the Portland Veterans Administration Medical Center, where he teaches ophthalmic surgery. Dr. Bentley is board certified and practices comprehensive ophthalmology.
