Dr. David graduated with a B.S. degree from Davidson College in Davidson, NC. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He served his Internship at Stanford University Medical Center and Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. David is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He moved to Portland in 1975 and joined EyeHealth in 1983.

Traveling to Mexico and Guatemala, Dr. David has performed ocular surgery as a volunteer with medical mission groups. Board certified, Dr. David practices General Ophthalmology.
