Ronald M. Hampel, OD
General Optometry & Contact Lenses

Dr. Hampel received a B.Sc. in physiology from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Regina, Canada. After a rewarding eight-year career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation he decided to change course in life and become an optometrist. He earned his optometry doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honors society and graduated "with distinction". While at Pacific he was part of an Amigos Optometric Society volunteer trip to the West Bank and Gaza Strip performing vision examinations for hundreds of impoverished Palestinians. He hopes to travel abroad again to work with those in need of care in the poorer regions of the world. Dr. Hampel combines a healthy sense of humor and good nature with a passion for vision care.
