Dr. Holland has extensive training and experience in both Pediatric and General Adult Ophthalmology. His special interests include cataract surgery, strabismus, and laser vision correction. After graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, he completed medical school and his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. While in residency, he was certified to perform laser vision correction in 1997. He also performed a rotating Internship at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Because of his special interest in pediatrics, Dr. Holland continued his education at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, South Carolina with a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. As a pediatric ophthalmology fellow, Dr. Holland performed significant and award-winning research in pediatric cataract surgery and retinopathy of premature infants.
