Roger M. Saulson, MD

Dr.
Saulson attended the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio
where he was class president and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha
National Honor Society. He completed his Residency in Ophthalmology
at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University
of Miami from 1986 through 1989. During his Fellowship at the University
of Michigan's W.K. Kellogg Eye Center, he taught ophthalmology residents.
He performed advanced surgical techniques on the cornea and acquired
his subspecialty in Cornea and External Eye Diseases.
Dr. Saulson
joined the staff of EyeHealth Northwest in 1992 and began practicing
out of our three East Side offices. His emphasis is on cataract
surgery and corneal surgery with a special interest in Laser Vision
Correction surgery. Dr. Saulson makes annual volunteer trips to
Oaxaca, Mexico with Northwest Medical Teams. He shares his talents
and donates his time performing cataract surgery on the poor indigenous
people of the region. He finds these mission trips deeply rewarding.
