Brock D. KarbenDr. Karben received his B.S. in Biology from Washington State University and obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University. Dr. Karben joined the staff of EyeHealth Northwest in 2009.

While Dr. Karben grew up locally in Ridgefield, Washington, he still enjoys traveling as much as possible. He has made several trips to Indonesia, the latest to provide eye care for underserved populations. When home, Dr. Karben values spending time with his family and enjoys being an uncle.

In his time off, Dr. Karben tries to take full advantage of all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. He spends most of his free time outdoors. Depending on the season, you can find him rock climbing, backpacking, kayaking, wakeboarding, or snowboarding. In the summer months Dr. Karben can be found prowling the mountain streams with fly rod in hand or sampling one of the many great microbrews that Portland has to offer.
