Dr. Helen Lee was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. Her enthusiasm for optometry began in grade school when she was prescribed her first pair of specialty orthokeratology contact lenses to correct her far vision. She saw the benefits of specialty contact lenses and wanted to reward patients with the same vision.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of California, San Diego, and completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. During optometry school, Dr. Lee was exposed to treating glaucoma and diabetic eye disease at VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Tacoma, WA, and Eastmont Wellness Center in Oakland, CA, and eventually graduated with honors as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honors society.
Dr. Lee specialized in refractive surgery care and fitting myopia control contact lenses. Her motto is providing comprehensive optometry and finding the best solution for patients’ individual needs. Outside of optometry, Dr. Lee fancies live music and is on the hunt for the next hiking trail to conquer.
