Dr. Sasha Strul provides state-of-the-art, evidence-based medical and surgical treatment for pediatric eye diseases and pediatric and adult eye misalignment. She greatly enjoys caring for patients and has over a decade of experience advancing patient care. After completing her fellowship at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Strul joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota, where she practiced for nine years before relocating to the Portland area. As a pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon, Dr. Strul is dedicated to individualizing care and empowering patients and their families. She is committed to providing medical treatments and corrective surgery that can improve how adults and children see the world and themselves.
She is a proud member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and founded the first resident-run, outreach eye clinic at the University of Florida in 2014, which continues to provide free care to the underserved. She has also been a leader in advocacy, research, and education. This includes serving as chair of the Young Ophthalmologist Committee of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS), director of the University of Minnesota (UMN) International Albinism Database, and UMN Ophthalmology residency director.
Dr. Strul finds great joy in being a pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon. From examining and talking with you in the clinic to performing surgeries and prescribing treatments, she looks forward to getting to know you and your family.
