Dr. Christine Ryu is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. She completed her fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis after completing her ophthalmology residency at the Truhlsen Eye Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She also completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Ryu earned her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and graduated with honors from Dartmouth College, where she studied Anthropology.
During her training, Dr. Ryu developed a particular interest in conditions affecting the eyelids and orbit, as well as reconstructive surgery. She has been involved in extensive research and has presented and published work on a variety of ophthalmic and oculoplastic topics.
She is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
