I have been a patient at Eye Health Northwest since the early 1980's. Originally I was a very near-sighted contact lens wearer with a strong astigmatism prescription. When I reached my mid-forties my eyes began to dry a bit and contact lenses became more uncomfortable to wear. I was faced with getting my first pair of bifocal glasses. With my strong prescription I was looking at a good chunk of money going out of my pocket. It was suggested that I would be a good candidate to check into Lasik surgery. I was nervous but the staff there was able to answer my questions. It was recommended that I see Dr. Kemp since he had more experience than some of the other doctors. His professional treatment put me more at ease about the procedure. I chose to have my dominant eye corrected for distance and my non-dominant eye left slightly near-sighted for reading. This worked perfectly for me and the results speak for themselves. It has been twelve years since my surgery and my distance vision is 20/15 and my reading vision is also 20/15. My eyes remain completely healthy with no signs of cataracts or other problems. It is still amazing to me that I was able to go from being a person that began wearing glasses at age five to someone that has needed no correction for the past 12 years. Dr. Kemp has performed the PRK surgery on my son and Lasik on my two daughters. They have all had similar results. Sight is very precious and I am very lucky to have found Dr. Kemp and the staff at EyeHealth Northwest.-Google Review
I had my vision corrected using Lasik by Dr. Kemp at EyeHealth NW. My vision is great and the service I recieved was great as well. I appreciated the screening process to ensure I was a good candidate for the procedure and the full explanation of the procedure and what to expect. I was treated well by all the staff from the folks greeting you at the clinic, to Amy (wrong spelling) who facilitated the whole process to the various clinitians testing my eyes before and after to Dr. Kemp who performed the surgery. It went exactly how he described, any anxiety about it was minimized, there was very little discomfort and most of all my vision is great.-Google Review
We first saw Dr. Jon Kemp 6 years ago when our 8-year-old daughter's vision needed to be assessed. Naturally, our child's eyesight is of critical importance to us, and we sought referrals from lots of friends and coworkers before choosing a doctor for her. Dr. Kemp's name came up repeatedly as being the best in town: an expert surgeon, great with follow-up care, skilled in diagnosing and treating difficult conditions, and a kind, intelligent demeanor that would be reassuring for us and for our very shy child. We were sold.Dr. Kemp saw us right on time, and came in with a warm, calm energy that immediately set our daughter at ease. With a gentle sense of humor, he took her through the eye exam, taught her about her eyes in a way that increased her confidence, and handed her the perfect prescription through which to see the world. (When she got her glasses and put them on in the parking lot she looked at the trees and said: "Look at all of those LEAVES!")
Since that time, we've entrusted Dr. Kemp with all of the eyes in our family. He's also treated others we've referred to him, and without exception, they've reported great experiences and an appreciation of Dr. Kemp as both a person and a doctor. We couldn't be happier with the care we've received from Dr. Kemp, his staff, and the specialists in his Optical Shop. Their professionalism and expertise are beyond compare, and I love that I can request an appointment online and be contacted right away by scheduling staff.Since we first started seeing Dr. Kemp, we've moved almost an hour from his office, but we'd drive a lot farther for the peace of mind he gives us around the health of our most valuable eyes.- Yelp Review
I came to eye health nw for lasik, and had a great experience. Aimee was amazing, she went totally above and beyond with anything I needed, and was there for me throughout the whole process. Dr. Kemp was an awesome surgeon - he always answered any questions I had, thoroughly explained every aspect of the pre op, surgery, and post op, and did really thorough examinations to make sure I was a good candidate for lasik. He made the surgery really easy and painless, talking to me the whole time, explaining each section as he went. Both he and Aimee took the time to call and check on me a few hours after surgery. I'm thrilled with my new vision. Highly recommend!- Yelp Review
