Dr. Samantha Lê grew up in Tigard, Oregon, and spent part of her childhood living overseas in Shanghai, China, and Taipei, Taiwan. During this time, she began learning Mandarin and gained an appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. These experiences helped shape her ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and adapt to new environments.
Dr. Lê attended Pacific University, where she completed her undergraduate education before continuing at Pacific University College of Optometry through the Optometry Scholars Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences in 2022 and her Doctor of Optometry degree with Distinction in 2025. She then completed a one-year residency at Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, focusing on primary eye care and ocular disease management.
Dr. Lê has a special interest in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease management, and contact lenses. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds and believes in taking the time to listen to their concerns, answer questions, and educate them about their eye health. Her international experiences have strengthened her communication skills and cultural awareness, helping her build trusting, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Lê enjoys watching movies, reading, and exploring Portland’s many cafés and bookstores. She values the personal connections she makes with her patients and is excited to be part of the EyeHealth Northwest team.
