Comprehensive Eye Exams, Beyond the Basics

A visit to EyeHealth Northwest is far more than a vision check. Our comprehensive eye exams include retinal imaging, eye pressure measurement, and microscopic evaluation of the front of your eye, giving our physicians a complete picture of your ocular health. Early detection of conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration can make all the difference in long-term outcomes.

A Full-Service Optical Experience

From our in-house lens laboratory to our exclusive frame collections, we believe great vision and great style go hand in hand. Our licensed opticians and optical stylists are here to help you find frames and lenses perfectly suited to your prescription, lifestyle, and look.

Same Day, Same Week, and Saturday Appointments Available

We know your schedule doesn't always allow for a months-long wait. That's why EyeHealth Northwest offers same-week appointments at our Salmon Creek location, with Saturday availability so you can get the care you need without taking time away from work or school.

Specialized Retina Care in Salmon Creek

The retina is one of the most delicate and vital structures in the eye, and conditions affecting it can threaten your vision quickly and permanently. EyeHealth Northwest in Salmon Creek offers comprehensive retinal care, from routine monitoring to complex surgical intervention.

Fellowship-Trained Retina Specialist
Our expert eye care team includes Dr. Adam Hanif, a fellowship-trained retina specialist available for consultations, second opinions, and ongoing care. He  brings a particular focus on using advanced imaging and technology to individualize care for patients with macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and has published widely on retinal disease, ophthalmic imaging, and artificial intelligence in eye care.

Protecting Your Vision from Diabetes
Diabetes is the leading cause of new blindness among working-age Americans, and diabetic retinopathy often develops without noticeable symptoms until it has already progressed. Regular eye exams are critical for anyone managing diabetes. Our team uses laser therapy, intravitreal injections, and surgical techniques, including vitrectomy, to effectively treat diabetic retinopathy at every stage.

Treatment for Macular Degeneration
Age-related macular degeneration is the leading cause of vision loss among Americans 65 and older. While there is currently no cure for dry AMD, early intervention and proper supplementation can slow its progression. For wet AMD, our specialists offer anti-VEGF injection therapy, which has helped many patients not only stabilize their vision but, in some cases, improve it.

Time-Sensitive Care for Retinal Tears and Detachment
A retinal detachment is a medical emergency. Without prompt treatment, it will almost always lead to permanent vision loss. If you are experiencing sudden flashes of light, a significant increase in floaters, or a shadow or curtain across your vision, contact EyeHealth Northwest immediately. Our ophthalmologists are experienced in the full range of repair techniques, including in-office laser surgery, pneumatic retinopexy, scleral buckle surgery, and vitrectomy.

Retina

Our Retina team at our Salmon Creek clinic provides specialized care for conditions affecting the back of the eye, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, and other complex retinal diseases. These conditions often develop without early symptoms, making timely evaluation and ongoing monitoring essential to protecting vision. Using advanced diagnostic imaging and the latest treatment options, our experienced providers focus on early detection, accurate diagnosis, and personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. From in-office procedures to long-term disease management, we are committed to delivering thoughtful, coordinated care every step of the way.

Cornea

The cornea is the clear, dome-shaped surface at the front of the eye that plays a critical role in focusing your vision. Our team diagnoses and treats a full range of corneal conditions, including keratoconus, corneal abrasions and erosions, Fuchs' dystrophy, pterygium, and keratitis. Treatment options range from specialty contact lens fitting and medicated eye drops to corneal transplantation for advanced cases.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the leading cause of preventable blindness in the United States, affecting over 3 million Americans. At EyeHealth Northwest, we use advanced diagnostic technology to detect glaucoma in its earliest stages, when treatment is most effective. Our eye doctors prescribe the latest medications and employ surgical techniques to preserve vision while minimizing impact on your daily life.

Contact Lenses

Finding the right fit for contact lenses takes more than a standard prescription. At EyeHealth Northwest, our certified contact lens technicians work alongside your eye doctor to evaluate your corneal curvature, tear film, pupil size, and lifestyle needs to ensure a proper, comfortable, and healthy fit every time. We offer a wide range of lens options to suit every patient, including daily wear, extended wear, disposable, toric, bifocal and multifocal, rigid gas-permeable, and specialty therapeutic lenses for conditions like keratoconus.

LASIK

EyeHealth Northwest offers blade-free, all-laser LASIK using the Wavelight Refractive Suite, one of the most advanced laser platforms available. The procedure itself takes only minutes per eye, with most patients noticing clearer vision the same day. 99% of EyeHealth Northwest LASIK patients achieve 20/20 vision or better. For patients who are not ideal LASIK candidates due to thin corneas, dry eyes, or high-risk occupations, we also offer PRK, a flapless surface laser correction with a slightly longer recovery that delivers equally strong results.
