Licensed by the Oregon Board of Nursing as a family nurse practitioner, Yvonne brings a wealth of clinical experience to EyeHealth Northwest. She has been a nurse for over fifteen years. For the first five years of her nursing career, Yvonne practiced nursing in specialty areas including medical/surgical nursing in acute care and home health as registered nurse. Since 1999, Yvonne has been a nurse practitioner and worked in specialties of family practice, cardiology, urgent care, and for the last four years, in aesthetic medicine.
Yvonne is a member of the oculoplastic surgery team at EyeHealth Northwest. Working closely, with Dr. Prashanth Vallabhanath, she is responsible primarily for post-operative care. In addition, Yvonne is an experienced aesthetic nurse practitioner with excellent skills in the injection of Botox, Juvederm, Restylane/Perlane, Radiesse, and Scluptra. She is fully prepared to consult, educate, and provide aesthetic treatments for her patients at EyeHealth Northwest.
Yvonne is sensitive and compassionate when providing patient care. She also believes that patient education is an integral part of her clinical practice. You will find Yvonne a pleasant and caring person who tirelessly advocates for her patients to achieve the best quality care. In addition, Yvonne was a nursing educator for eleven years. She has served as a full-time nursing faculty member with various universities, most recently with University of Portland, Being an academic for the most part of her adult life, Yvonne is committed to life-long learning.
